Review content:
Ridley's has been a mainstay in the area for many years. They've been in this location for quite some time. Most first timers have a difficult time finding the place as it look like a warehouse from the outside and is a bit off the main drag in Royal Oak.\r
\r
Great history here as evidenced by the wall when you walk in with pictures of past performers Inside, they can curtain off half the room if the crowd is small. This obviously helps with the atmosphere. The comics are generally good...they consistently bring in the best talent (with few exceptions)....much better than any other club. Sound is always good, at least for the headliners.\r
\r
The drinks are what you'd expect from a comedy club. The service isn't very good, so I usually order 2 beers at a time just in case the servers don't get back to the table in a timely fashion. I've never ordered any food so no comment. Menu is very, very limited.\r
\r
If you're looking for good comedy on the weekends, go to the Comedy Castle...you will rarely be disappointed. Owner is a great guy!\r
Pros: Consistent top notch talent
Cons: parking, slow service
