Review content:
I took my new puppies here because it was close and city search had good recommendations (although I see 2 of the negative ones have been taken off since I initially researched). All negative comments I have seen have been regarding the way they treat their clients - this is in support of that.
There are certain front desk people who are plain rude and talk down to you. One example is when my puppy got neutered. He was very excited when I came to pick him up but was not supposed to be playful because of his surgery. Instead of reminding me to calm him down, the woman at the desk scolded him rudely and gave me an offhand comment about ?he?ll be in soon?. Implying he was going to hurt himself.
One of the owners Dr. Walker Meadows is simply a jerk. The office lost files from our dog?s shot records. They denied losing the files. When I pointed out the file was for a shot required to board a dog and that they had boarded mine less than a month ago, they wouldn?t answer. They later changed their story a third time saying they had it and lost it but it wasn?t their responsibility since it was from separate vet. As we were out of town, when an emergency arose and the dogs needed to be boarded, we had no choice but to have another vet give the shot and pay for the shot and office visit.
I found this very unprofessional. Why did they ask for and try to keep important medical files if they were later comfortable losing them? What if an emergency arose and, because the vet lost files, something was done that should not have been done?
When I arrived back in town, I produced the original shot file they were given and had lost. I pointed this out to an office person. She said what do you want me to do about it. I requested they not lose my files from now on and waive our next general office visit fee to cover the cost of having to have the shot redone elsewhere. I was told no rudely. I replied I would be taking my puppies elsewhere as unprofessionalism, lost files and horrible customer service were not great selling points for me.
A couple weeks later, I received a call from Dr. Walker Meadows out of the blue saying I had asked for him to call. I replied I had not. When I tried to hang up he said ?wait, what about the shot?. I said I had discussed it with his office, did not feel comfortable with the situation and was changing vets. He then accused me of blackmail. I asked him why. He said you wanted us to pay for the shot. I said no, I wanted you to not lose my dogs files and I asked if I were to stay if you would not pay for the shot, as you are saying, but waive my next office visit fee to your clinic for your mistake (I had never asked for this before, as he claims, but his wife had done it on her own initiative on another mistake the office made, so I did not find it to be an absurd request). None the less, he continued the rudeness I had become familiar with in his office.
My advice ? don?t go here. You?re pets and your
