Review content:
What a waste of my time and money! My primary care physician was on vacation last week. I was very sick with some troubling symptoms, primarily my neck and throat were swollen and painful, I had an ear-ache and jaw ache. I did not want to wait for my DR to return and decided to go to Woodcreek Urgent Care in Puyallup. After checking in with the nurse I was given a blood test and a strep test. The Nurse GP Amy Virnig came in and very briefly and I mean ""briefly"" examined me. she said she reviewed my results and could find nothing wrong with me. She said I did not need antibiotics although I stressed that I believed that I had some type of an infection. She advised me to go home and put some ""heat"" on my neck and take some ibueprophin. . She said if that didnt work I could come back again tomorrow. After a weekend of continuing symptoms I decided to go in to see my regular DR who had returned from vacation. He also briefly examined me but said that my adnoids were extremely inflamed and I had a severe infection and needed antibiotics. He informed me that the ""strep test"" often gives false negatives and he does not rely upon it. He has 35 years experience as a family physician with a very large and ""closed"" client base.\r I cannot stress how uncaring and unprofessional Nurse GP Amy Virnig was. Her bedside manor was cold and indifferent. I have to feel extremely ill to go to the Dr. I will never again waste my time or money with a Nurse GP at Woodcreek Urgent care in Puyallup. My advice would be ""see a real doctor"".
