My wife used this practice during her pregnancy with our second child. During the office visits for pre-natal care, the staff often seemed hurried and distracted. My wife had to request a scheduled ultrasound during one visit, and the staff member acted annoyed that they had to do it. They definitely seem to try to handle a high volume, and crank them out. As far as the delivery, they did not perform it. My wife had him very quickly before Jackie could arrive, and he was delivered by the nurses. When she arrived she quipped, ""I guess all I have to do is the paperwork."" We were then billed in full, $2500 for ""pre-natal, delivery, and post-natal."" When we tried to speak with Jackie about a possible discount on the delivery since she did not perform it, we were brusquely told, ""It's a flat rate."" I wonder if an extended delivery with, say, an extra night of laboring and more visits by the midwife would still be covered under the ""flat rate.""
