My husband and I met for the time at Corbin's and so it holds a special place in our hearts. \r We had our Wedding dinner there and then returned for our first anniversary. Each of those times the service and food was beyond amazing.\r Yesterday it was our 2nd anniversary and so we returned to Corbin's to celebrate. \r Unfortunately the experience was not even close to our past visits there.\r Our waitress and waiter did an amazing job given the circumstances. The appetizers (crab cakes and spinach artichoke dip) began the meal. The dip was exceptional the crab cakes had little crab and a whole lot of cake filler. If you smothered them in the dip they were palatable.\r Then dinner service hit... the pork my husband ordered was over cooked and dry but edible. My steak (ordered medium rare) arrived the first time well done. I returned it only to be served yet another over done steak. The chef came out from the kitchen with the second plate and used his hands to pull the steak apart to show me he could not cook it anymore medium rare. Then left the plate and walked away. Trust me a moment you really had to see to believe!\r Needless to say I didnt eat dinner...\r The waitress apologized over and over about it and did remove my meal from the ticket as well as a partial credit for the appetizers. \r At this point it is highly doubtful we will return to Corbin's which is really too bad. The food there used to be some of the best in the state. Now it is mediocre with prices only those on a Champagne budget can afford.
