Review content:
My friend next door gave me Penton's #, first off it is hard to contact them as they only have an office and home phone. I got a call the following day but I was offshore so I could not call back. My pump went down on a weekend so it is hard to find anyone or any place open to find parts. I tried putting in a new air pressure regulator but that did not solve the problem, so I looked at the on pump pressure regulator (water) upon disassembling I found that the diaphram inside was holed and no where to get a replacement. I went to Home Depot and bought another (different) pressure regulator and plumbed it in line after adding and rerouting pipe as needed. This did not fix the problem. So I called Penton's but was told they could not come out until Friday. Friday came and two men showed up at my home (after driving over my lawn and parking by the pump unit without asking if it was OK by the way) I made it outside to the pump and was bitched at by one of the guys for working on my own pump on my own property. After informing the guy that I am a USCG Licensed Chief Engineer on large vessels and am capable of repairing just about anything and the only reason I called them out was that if I had to pull the pump they would be there to do it (after all isn't that what a service company does? Provide service to a customer!) Well the both men left after leaving me an old used diaphragm to use in the original pressure regulator. I went and got some new parts for the regulator from a local hardware store (Quick and Greis/ nice people) and re-done the piping to original the configuration. The pump is still not working and I got no call back from Penton's to see if the diaphragm worked. Is this what is called SERVICE nowadays! especially from a contractor that gives you blessings at the end of their phone message!? Just what we need another false Christian in the world! Do not use Penton's they are not professional, courteous or a good service provider!
