Review content:
We had Republic Windows & Doors replace all of the windows in our house, twenty windows total. They came to us on a recommendation from a friend, who really liked them and enjoyed working with them. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as great as we'd hoped it would be.
Overall, I think they did a great job with the installation and they were in and out in one day. The product is top quality and we are very happy with the final results.
However, when they were removing the old windows to replace them with the new windows they tried to do a good job at cleaning up the broken glass. Even though they did a pretty good job with the cleanup, they didn't tell us they had broken a window in our bathroom, in the tub. Some glass was accidentally left behind in the bathtub. My young son ended up cutting his foot in the tub. Thankfully, he didn't need stitches, but he was definitely traumatized about taking a bath for the next week! He thought there were alligators in there! Not to mention that we were very upset about it too! Had I known that they had broken a window in the bathtub, I would have double checked for glass before letting my son take a bath in there.
However, I think they are a good company and did a very good job. They are really nice and professional. Leaving the broken glass in the tub was just a mistake. They did a good job cleaning up the rest of the glass and even vacuumed up the dust. I would definitely recommend this company to anybody.
