I'm originally from Boston, and there's a number of true slaters there. I assumed it'd be the same here, because New Orleans is such an old city with fantastic homes with slate roofs, but I seemed like it was hopeless finding a real slater in town. Then I called Durable Slate. They are the real McCoy. They're the only ones I'll let on my slate roof.
Pros: true slaters, knowledge, ability to match slate
