Review content:
This is not a tableservice restaurant, you stand in line and tell them what you want on your tray. The main thing here is of course, chicken. Delicious, herb seasoned, rotisserie chicken by the 1/4, 1/2, or whole, for here or to go. The meat is always moist, and falls right off the bone, while the skin is a crisp treat. Depending on the amount of chicken you order you will choose 2-3 sides. There are several selections ranging from fries and cole slaw to tripe soup, plantains, and yucca. You can also opt for red beans, plain or fried rice, and they even offer a salad of shredded lettuce & red cabbage - although I don't think they offer a dressing. While their business is rotisserie, you are not limited to the aforementioned menu. They have a few sandwiches, a very satisfying burrito ( which takes MUCH longer than ordering chicken - your partner will be finished eating by the time you get it), and specials of the day. There are usually three specials offered daily which sometimes vary, though pescado frito seems permanently on the specials list. You might get lucky and find papas a la huancaina on the list one day - order it. This is a dish of cold boiled potatoes, in a creamy, cheesy, sauce with a little spice. By the register are a few sweets if you feel inclined, cookies, mini-tarts, etc. I tried an unusual dessert that looked like purple jelly made of corn and dried fruit, which reminded me a little of cranberry sauce, -was it the cinnamon?\r
Pros: quick, cheap, tastey, Spanish music videos & soaps while you eat
