Businiess name:  Hajime Japanese Restaurant

Review content:
This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend (we are both Japanese) after another great Japanese restaurant in Westchester changed hands and I was looking for a good replacement. The food is great (try toro taru-taru from the appetizer menu) and their sushi is fresh. They have made sushi for me that don't appear on the menu on request. I also recommend the nabe yaki udon, which has sadly morphed into something else in many less-than-authentic Japanese restaurants in the area. The service was only average on one occasion, but it was great the last time. When I don't want to travel all the way into Manhattan, this is where I go. It is obvious from the exchanges between the sushi bar chef and people who sit there that there are lots of regulars, Japanese or otherwise. Pros: authentic, good sushi
