Businiess name:  Wakaii Sushi & Ramen House

Review content:
I dined at Wakaii sushi late last Saturday night, alone. The ambiance was decent, and I was excited to perhaps have discovered a little treasure trove of low-cost asian cuisine very close to my apartment complex. In my mind I imagined that this hole in the wall would offer suprisingly tasty food prepared by a native Japanese chef and at an affordable price. Immediately after being served luke-warm, weak green tea, I consumed a seaweed salad. The salad was inconsistant in temperature. I work in the restaurant business, and that is a dead giveaway that the food that has not been safely prepared. To be honest, it was the chewiest and worst tasting seaweed salad I have ever eaten. Studpidly I continued on to a 2nd course, hoping it might be better. I had ordered the sesame chicken bowl, thinking it would be a safe alternative to sushi in this somewhat sketchy restaurant. The dish had been described to me as all white breast meat, crusted with sesame seeds and served in a sauce with vegetables over rice. When the meal arrived, I was horrified to discover soggy rice that had apparently been sitting in a pan being endlessly reheated topped with slimy cabbage and deep fried blobs of chicken that were more batter than actual meat. There were no vegetables, and no sesame seeds. I asked the waiter if I had been served the wrong dish, but he assured me that it was indeed the sesame chicken bowl. I decided to give it a try although it looked very un-appetizing. After my first bite, I could tell something was wrong. I had the reflex to gag up the food I had just injested, but continued to eat (being a waitress myself I know how irritating it can be to send food back). However, after about three bites I instinctively knew it would be a mistake to dine on. Four days of extreme nausea and diharrea ensued. In short, I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone - unless you enjoy running to the bathroom with a strong urge to hurl approximately every fifteen minutes. Pros: Lots of available seating. Cons: Pretty much everything else.
