Review content:
After hearing what a great experience it is to go to Saracen ("" A MUST if you're in the Hamptons"" I was told), I was anticipating great food, and service before heading to the dance floor.... what I got instead was an experience beyond abismal. The manger who, at first seemed charming although positively reeked of smoke, had next to no knowledge about the menu and even less about the wine list was plying us with bad cliches and one liners until he finally sat us. Our server barely found time to attend to us and behaved as though our presence was an inconvenience.The food was average, the fish overcooked but still the best part of the experience thus far. When it came time for cocktails an dancing, the poor service continued at the bar. The aforementioned manager was unable to help in calling a taxi and had on a grease stained tie. Not sure what all the fuss is about.... Saracen isn't worth the time, the money or the energy it takes to flag down a server.
