NYSC or Town Sports International are a bunch of crooks. Corporate crooks. \r

After a year of paying my monthly (august 2009- august 2010 69 a month)dues on time I contacted NYSC to cancel my membership for the upcoming months. I was informed that because I placed a freeze on my account for several months my membership had been extended for the months I had the freeze on my account. I work 11 hour days as a public service employee so I probably went to the gym a total of 3x.A rep actually recommended that I place the freeze on my account due to non usuage.So I decided to pay the cancellation fee for the remaining months, a total of 177.57 to avoid speaking to the annoying and rude member service representative on the phone.\r

After about six months I decided to go into NYSC COURT ST location and start a new membership. I handed over my debit card (huge mistake) and I was told because I was a former member the enrollment fee would be waived. Before the transaction could be completed I decided to not go along with it. Why sign up for another year of something I would never use? I left the establishment clearly thinking I would not be charged for anything. But I guess Jose or whatever his name was decided differently.\r

A week later Jose called me repeatedly to try and get me to sign up with sports club, he called when I was in church, at work, at home which should let me know how desperate they were to make a sale. Three weeks later(TODAY) I texted my balance and ho and behold a charge of 104.90. What bothered me the most is that this person unlawfully used my debit card to meet his sales quota and he had the nerve to tell me it was a computer glitch. He said why would he risk losing his job by using my debit card? I knew the answer! NYSC is full of crooks and they hire small time hustlers like Jose to rob innocent hard working people of their coins.\r

In one of his sales calls he said to me "" Your health is more important"" now I can clearly see after being robbed by the NYSC Court st location that my financial health is more important to everyday crooks like JOSE and Town Sports International. Although my financial institution will handle things from here I PRAY that no one signs up for this gym ever again. I will stand outside and protest if I have to. We have enough corporate crime in this country and Town Sports International just took the cake!
