Review content:
My husband & I went to George's for our anniversary. After reading the reviews of others on this site I was worried, but my fears were unfounded. Perhaps the staff is now better trained - but we had a lovely young (well, late 20's/early 30's) waiter who was very professional and knowledgable about the menu and wine. We started with the tuna cappchio (sp?) - which was wonderful and fresh. I had the salmon and my husband had the rib steak - both cooked to perfection. I worried that the salmon would be heavy b/c it is listed as being ""poached"" in olive oil - but just a wondful flavor and not greasy as I feared. We both enjoyed a side pear salad that was dressed with a tasty vinegrette (my favorite part of the meal). Not big portions but not skimpy either. All of the sides are ala carte, so our bill, with wine, ran about $125 - but we had a delightful experience and plan to return soon. Pros: Great food, nice staff, not overly casual - just nice and relaxing! Cons: Everything is ala carte for the most part
