This has to be the most gentle root canal dentist ! I came from my dentist as an emergency and I was able to be seen on the same day. At no time my tooth ache was gone and my root canal completed. I went back once more to follow up and he told me that I was ready to go back to my dentist to get a crown to protect my tooth. I wasn't sure why this was necessary, and he reminded me that usually when a nerve goes bad is because there is a large cavity,or a large defective filling and even a bad fitting cap that allows stuff and bugs to get trapped. He makes sure there will be no bugs left , so he has to drill it out. He places a rubber thing that protects your mouth so you wont swallow infected stuff (i think). And the cap is to protect my tooth already weakened by all the wear and tear that ended up causing all that awful situation. I thought that when you get a root canal they'd remove the roots of the teeth, but in fact is just the soft part inside , where the infected nerve was. You still keep the hard part of the tooth. I never expected to be so informed after all this. I hope I don't need another RC one, but I wouldn't hesitate to call Dr Martin. The office is very clean , the staff is great.
