I called to order Pizza for my daughter and myself, we are in the midst of moving and do not have food in the house, at all. I Knew I didn't have cash and my husband was on the road with my debit card. I notified them I would be paying with check prior to the pizza being delivered, made or driven to my house. The pizza arrived very fast, within 20 min. The young lady doesn't know how I am supposed to be paying and when I tell her check, she says that I can't. I felt like a fool. The manager, Derek, who took my order, did not explain that I was not able to pay via check. In fact, he was so rushed that he failed to listen to how I was going to pay at all and didn't put any notes in the system. So, after the woman explains it is cash or credit only, I decide to crack open my daughter's piggy bank. I felt so horrible and this man put me in such a bad experience that I was willing to rummage through my 6 year old daughter's savings. Then, about 15 minutes later I find out I am 2$ short. I let her know that I will not be able to pay unless she will accept check and she again states that she cannot. I let her go and thank her for her time. I then call back and ask to speak with the manager, Low and behold, it is Derek the man that took my call in the first place. The phone call did not go well, he was extremely unsympathetic, called me a liar, said this has nothing to do with him and refused to accept fault. I explained once again that this was a miscommunication and that he should have explained to me that he would not accept my check. He once again, called me a liar. \r \r It would have been nice to speak with a manager who was understanding, sympathetic and maybe could have helped instead of laughing at me, belittling me and making me feel like I was no good. \r \r This is seriously the worst customer experience I have ever came across. the conversation I had with Derek over the phone was one of the most unpleasant conversations I have had with a stranger. Now my daughter is sitting here hungry asking why I broke her piggy bank open, why she doesn't have dinner and why is mommy sad... Shame on you Derek and shame on Pizza hut for having you.
