I would like to let people know that the Lord is with this ministry. God used this place and continues still today to bless my life through Mission Gate. I spent almost 10 yrs of my life enslaved to drugs and alcohol. I was in and out of prisons until this wonderful ministry opened up their loving arms to me when no one else trusted me or could have anything to do with me due to all the trust I broke in peoples lives due to my sinful living. The Lord placed me there with wonderful people who taught me, loved me, encouraged and corrected me. If one wants to see modern day miracles just check out this place. You will see the dregs of society being radically and beautifully transformed into the men God created them to be. You will see families that were shattered being put back togeather with these men now being able to lead their families instead of taking and hurting them. This ministry is not afraid to take the worst of men like I was and invest their time, effort, energy, and tears into them which shows their faith and committment to Jesus. They teach us how to follow Jesus and live life His way and due to their labor it is countless how many lives have been changed through Mission Gate to the glory and praise of God because men like me were hopeless UNTIL we truly encountered Christ here. Rick and Trish Mathes show their love for Christ by taking people no one else wanted and lets be honest how many people would do that!!!
