I separated from active duty because i wanted to plant roots somewhere. I enlisted in the Reserves before I separated. I found the perfect house for me so now I needed to find a realtor and a bank to fund my loan. So I placed my name and situation on several site like Lending tree. Almost immediately and I mean that literally a Flood of calls and emails came in with offer after offer with generally most of them being honest and straightforward. My realtor was a friend of the family and he already had a bank and finance officer he wanted me to use so i went with my realtor's option. Even though it became annoying talking with loan officers around the clock from around the U.S I answered each with patience learning as much as I could from each and comparing one to the other. Anyway this guy Craig Richwine from ifreedom direct calls me up one night after those calls had slowed down and I hear him out. He doesn't promise me the world or put on a show. He gives it to me straight that as far as Government backed loans go there is probably No one No one better equipped to handle my home purchase. He explained the process front to back and back to front. My interest rate, the market, Fees allowed and not allowed with a VA Loan. So I left my Realtor's Loan officer and went with Craig Richwine at ifreedom direct. After the switch even my realtor being prior military himself was impressed with Mr. Richwine's knowledge of the VA loan. Its' not only the knowledge base that ifreedom direct offers that impressed us. It was the professionalism and the hard work put in on their end. I was given two numbers to contact Mr. Richwine at and whenever I had question it was answered the same day if not immediately. I also had an email address to forward all documentation he required from me. Sometimes I would receive forms he needed filled out on my blackberry which allowed the entire process to continue moving forward rather than coming to a halt because I wasn't at a computer to check my email. The original house we put in for was 200,000 and when the house down the street came back onto the market we went through the process all over again with another property. So I've got this big house 4075sq ft for 170,000. My payments are affordable and conveniently paid online. this was my first home purchase and should I ever go through this again I will look to ifreedom direct first. Its Great to compare but make sure you give ifreedom direct a call if they don't call you. Pros: Knowledgeable, Professional - Awesome! Cons: Utah lol
