Review content:
I've been to Tanjore for their lunch buffet and for occasional take out snacks. Their dining area is cold and often unpleasant and their food isn't anything special. They add 18% tip to parties of 6 or more, which is completely understandable under normal circumstances, but you're there for the lunch buffet with horrible service (they never brought us naan which is the only aspect of service they are supposed to do during the buffet) what is the 18% for? All their dishes taste the same. They use all the same spices for every item, but add water to some to make it a clear curry and cream to others to make it a creamy sauce. I much prefer Tamarind Bay, Cafe of India (for Indian food with a twist) or even Bombay Club, which are both right around the corner.
Pros: take out snacks are good
Cons: service, ambience, food
