Review content:
I didn't grow up messing around with hair and nails. My mom's pretty low maintenance, so it never occurred to me to pay someone to do my nails. Until about two weeks ago, I think my last manicure was for my senior prom. Fast-forward to this past Valentine's Day, when I went with a gal pal to get our nails done....and now I'm hooked. And I can afford to be high maintenance on a shoestring budget by getting my nails done at Paris Model Nail.
Nothing about the staff or decor suggests Paris, of that I am sure. Although blandly decorated, the nail salon is very clean and well-lit. The staff is friendly, but there is a little bit of a language barrier with several nail technicians (is that the appropriate title?) Anyways, I got a manicure and pedicure for $35. It's help up pretty well; I got my nails done on a Saturday, and it is not Thursday. My toes are still perfect; my fingers, not so much. They looked pretty decent until I went to the gym on Tuesday, so I'm not complaining. They're only a couple blocks' walk from my apartment in Brighton Center, so I'm sure I'll be back.
Pros: Personable staff, inexpensive mani pedis!
Cons: Not the most meticulous manicure I've ever had
