My first visit to Magnolia's bridal in Conway, SC was great. The owner was nice and helpful. I found a great dress that I liked. I shopped around a bit more before having my sister and mom meet me to try my favorite dress on again and make a decision. I left work at 4pm so that I would have plenty of time to look at the dress on and maybe try more dresses before the store closed at 6pm. When I arrived at 4:30pm the owner had informed my sister that she had to close early and leave @ 4:45pm to pick up her daughter because another employee had not shown up to take her place. We were upset that we only had about 15 minutes to look at the dress and make a decision. The dress was perfect so we decided to go with it. The sample dress would zip up but was too tight ont me. The owner said she would order a size bigger and a length shorter. I was confused when I asked if she needed to measure me and she said no. She said that the dress I tried on was a bit too small and long so the size she ordered would be fine. We paid and left. When my dress arrived 3 weeks early I was excited and went to pick it up. I was shocked and upset when my dress was 1 inch OFF THE FLOOR BAREFOOT!! The dress is all lace and beading and could not be let out to even be long enough to wear sandals! It look like highwaters! The owner then tells me that I told her what size I wanted and that the dress could not be returned for the correct size. She blamed everything on me, instead of realizing how she rushed us that initial day and refused to measure me when I asked. I was stupid enough to trust the ""expert"" I thought the owner of a bridal shop would be. I hired a seamstress to look at the dress who said that she couldnt make it wearable so I ended up having to trade my dress for the sample in the store (too snug but a length that fit at least). Im making them pay for drycleaning of it. The owner was very unprofessional and ! would not recommend this shop to anyone!
Pros: good dress selection
Cons: owner messed up my dress order then tried to blame me!
