Bill's Half Price Auto Repair

Review content:
i tried bill's twice, but won't be back for a third. the first time was to have a timing belt replaced. that seems to be working ok, but in the process they messed up the adjustment/tension on the power steering belt and even after taking it back to have it re-adjusted, it's still giving us fits. it slips (which locks up the steering) and is making new and strange noises. now i'll have to go someplace else to get that fixed right -- and i'm sure that will more than offset the savings on the original work. the second time was for teh emergency brake on my son's car. it simply quit engaging. the problem with bill's this time was that they did the work -- replacing a rivet with a weld -- without even calling to ask or quote a price. so even though bill eventually tore up the bill, we still have a ""repair"" that is not what we would have chose since we were never called to authorize the repair.
