Review content:
I originally chose High Country because it was a local guy and I was trying to support the little guy. I was first concerned by High Country's lower than anywhere else price but he assured me that it was because he worked from his home and has no overhead. When removing my window he cut a piece of foam trim and a rubber molding. He assured me I would never see it when the window went back in. We also found some rust and I asked how we could fix it and he suggested just priming the area and putting the window back in and that I'd never see it. DO NOT let him do this to your car. The cover up method will lead to disaster down the road. I stopped him and insisted that I would fix the car right myself and then let him install the new window later. The old window was inserted temporarily and it was obvious that the cut foam was very visible as it sits on top of the dash. Furthermore High Country said that no window company removed all of the old window glue and that they were just going to glue over the old glue. I suspected this was not true and called around and found out that quality companies believe the old glue must be removed. I confirmed this by removing some of the old glue myself to find pockets of trapped rust under the old glue where water had accumulated. When I called High Country and told him he needed to replace the foam he cut and that other companies recommend removing all of the glue he immediately realized he had been caught doing poor work and said I was ""nickle and diming"" him and that I could go to another shop to have the work done. Without hesitation I hung up and now have an appointment with a reputable company. Don't waste your time with High Country or allow them to do substandard work on your vehicle.
