The ONLY reason this is even getting ONE star is because zero is not an option. I have shopped at this store ever since it was Cub Foods (anyone remember that!?).
The only people the staff are nice to are other staff. Try going in and asking for Lupini Beans or Clam Juice and be prepared for your 2 hour march around the store with every employee pointing you in a different direction because not a single one of them knows where things are (including the managers!). Heaven forbid you want chili beef or turkey thighs they'll laugh in your face.
I have gone into this store for the past 3 years with high hopes for improvement. I always start in the produce section HOPING I won't have to go to another store for my produce .... yet every single time I end up leaving empty handed and heading to Whole Foods or Sunflower. I have gotten home to find the bottom berries of my blackberries, blueberries or raspberries have been completely fuzzy with fresh ones on top to cover it up countless times. And if it's veggies you're shopping for - don't even bother! I have purchased too many items to count that I get home & realize they are past their expiration date from the ""Fresh"" produce section.
Today I went in looking for an onion. A SINGLE ONION!! This couldn't possibly be a difficult task for ANY store right!? King Soopers continues to surprise me! There wasn't a single onion that wasn't rotted or cut. And the produce gal - she actually told me I needed to just wait for the trucks! I have a family to feed and I'm not hanging out at King Soopers for a freaking ONION!!
I would like to save you all the trouble of a bad experience - go somewhere else .... ANYWHERE else has higher standards and better customer service than this Kings! Even the stores that don't speak English are nicer and fresher!
Also, if you have small children please be advised to have them wear earmuffs or have them repeat horrible things. The extremely audible conversations I have heard between Kings employees while on the floor at this store has been appalling to say the least!
