Review content:
I visited the Gilbertsville Pizza Hut for lunch on March 19, 2008 and was extremely disappointed. The salad bar was nearly out of tossed salad, and the cheese container was empty, the pizza bar had very little selection and was quickly emptied. The stack of plates next to the pizza bar was down to the last three, and each and crumbs or cheese left on them from whoever used them before they were ""washed."" Dirty plates and glasses remained on several tables as the staff could not get to them to clean them up.\r
\r
The most disappointing thing, however, was when I went up to the register the pay my bill. According to the embroidery on his shirt, the gentleman at the register was the general manager. He asked how my meal was and seemed shocked when I said it was disappointing, explaining the lack of food on the salad and pizza buffet. He asked if I had gotten anything to eat,and I said yes. His response was to give me my change and tell my to enjoy the rest of my day.\r
\r
As for the food, the pizza was normal Pizza Hut fare, and hot (since they can't keep the pizza bar stocked). The salad was fresh, though as I said above, the bowl was nearly empty.\r

Having lived in this area and patronized this Pizza Hut for at the last twenty years or so (since it first opened), I think this is a restaurant with potential but it continues to suffer from poor management.
Pros: Good for kids on a day off from school
Cons: Poorly stocked salad/pizza buffet
