Review content:
AVOID THIS SHOP! I recently had my oil changed on my car at this Midas shop on White Bear Ave. in St. Paul. The next day after the oil change I noticed a significant oil leak under my car. Previously, my car had not leaked at all. I brought it back and asked them about it and they said the bold on the oil pan ""wore out"" and said i needed a new oil pan...$700 estimate. \r
The next day I took my car to another shop and they asked who changed the oil last. The mechanic at this shop was sure that midas overtorqued the bold causing the problem and it was completely stripped. And to fix the problem, They needed to put a new bolt in ($40 total repair cost). \r
\r
So, not only did this Midas shop nearly ruin my car, but once i brought it back to them to confront them, they tried taking me for a ride! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The manager, Ted, I've had a few conversations about this topic and he is straight up dishonest and a glorified con artist.
Cons: The manager/ mechanics are DISHONEST and poor work.
