Review content:
The comedy talent they get at this club is amazing, which is why my husband and I have previously gone to this club. However, we had tickets to the ""9:30"" showing of Mike Epps on Sunday July 10th. The seating is first come first served, so to get good seats, you must get there earlier. We arrived at 9pm and got in line behind 20 some people. By 9:30 the line had continued growing and the first show of the evening had not yet wrapped up. At 10pm it started raining, so everyone in line was still waiting AND getting wet. Most people travel around an hour to get to this venue as it's off the beaten path. So factoring in an hour commute after an already late show you're in for a LONG night. Since no one had been let in by 10pm (already 30 minutes late), we decided to call it a night as we both had to work the next morning. We knew it would be at least an hour before the show started since no one had been let in and the tables needed cleaning and what not. We simply asked for a credit for another show some other day based on their tardiness and they said no exchanges or refunds without the hint of remorse for their tardiness. In fact, I got an email back to an additional complain that I made that they ""could not control the talent and how long they were on stage"" while trying to state why the second show was delayed. That doesn't sound like my problem, it sounds like theirs. Then they said they cleraly stated they do not allow refunds or exchanges, as those are the ""talents"" rules. So if the talent has these rules and it's the talent that caused the delay, shouldn't the talent via the venue be at fault? They also stated that it's a shame we didn't wait for the show because of the ""22 minute delay"". Ummm...I'm not the best at math, but that would meant that the show started at 9:52 at night. At 9:52 at night, not one person had been let in, so it obviously did not start 22 minutes late. \r
\r
Also to note, there is also a 2 item minimum in the venue, so after you pay your $35 per ticket, you also had around $50 per person in food and/or drinks, so they'll get your money how they see fit.\r
\r
We've been to many shows and although they are entertaining, we won't be going again based on the poor service.\r
