Review content:
I spent a month finding my first new bike since I was a kid and Perfromance Bikes was one of the stores that I visited. They are one of the few places in the area that sell Fuji bikes and I wanted to test ride a few. I visited the shop at lunch, figuring that I could get a quick ride in. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to help me, I finally gave up and left. The store is manned by what appear to be high school kids who have been trained little on customer service. I never got far enough to find out who would perfom maintenence on a bike purchased there but if it was those kids, I wouldn't feel comfortable.\r \r Ocassionally, they do have a sale on accessories which can be pretty decent. They have a better than average seleciton of shorts and shirts and have more parts in stock than most stores.\r \r Shop their sales on accessories but go to Silicon Valley Bikes just down the road to buy your bike. Those guys will spend as much time with you as you need to get just the right bike. When I shopped there, they even stayed open late so that I could keep test riding. Pros: Good selection of accessories, occasionally decent sale prices Cons: Very poor customer service, staffed by very young kids
