Honestly, the WORST place to get a haircut EVER. NEVER EVER EVER get your haircut here. Especially in Exeter by some girl named Katy or however you spell it. Whoever hired her is an idiot
My guy friend finally decided that he wanted to upgrade from Supercuts. He was sick of telling the hairdresser that he wanted to keep his hair longer on the top and sides, and walking out with a crew cut. He lives in the Exeter area, and the place looked alright. We went. NO ONE WAS THERE. This should have been our first clue that the place was going to be bad.
In attempts to make the haircut idiot-proof, I had brought in a picture of a guy with the haircut my friend wanted. Apparently this did not make the haircut idiot-proof. The hairdresser, Katy (or however she spells it) looked at it and said ""so you want to keep your hair on the longer side?"" And I thought, ""yes, finally someone will do what he wants."" Then, about 40 minutes later, she was like ""Wow we cut a lot of hair off,"" and my friend had, yet again, been given a short haircut. The hairdresser even used an electric razor on the sides of his head. I don't know how she went from looking at the picture and acknowledging aloud that he wanted to keep it long to....buzzcut. So I said, ""looks a lot shorter than in the picture."" To which she responded ""well that person's hair is curly."" .....So apparently, in her tiny thing she calls a brain, curly hair = long hair, and straight hair means the customer wants their hair to look nothing like what they told them they wanted and nothing like the picture they brought in. The girl never apologized for the butcher cut.
THEN we go to pay, and this idiot of a hairdresser takes forever calling the other location so a credit card can go through. WHO doesn't have a credit card machine? She dropped the phone, chatted with the person on the other line, did other work around the salon, when all we wanted to do was get out of there and away from her. Then she had the guts to ask if he wanted to add on money for a tip.....for the ""great"" job she did.......
My advice, NEVER GO HERE.
