Review content:
My club face was damaged by hitting a rock that was under pine straw. It left a gash with a rough edge that I wanted repaired. I called TNT Custom Golf and spoke to ""Will"", who was very professional and customer service oriented. I explained that I had damaged my Calloway X Forged iron and asked if it could be repaired. \r
He told me that he could only grind the rough edge down to make it smooth but the gash would still be visible and he said it would be $5 to $7 fee. I told him that I understood and would bring it by after work.\r
When I arrived after 4pm Mr. Rick Terzia was there and stated that Will was out but would be returning within the hour. I explained to him what happened and showed him the club. He agreed it would have to be grinded but that Will would do it because he is half blind in one eye. So I left my club and told him that I would return before they closed to pick it up.\r
When I returned to pick up my club, Will was there but Mr. Terzia was gone and Will told me that ""Rick"" had instructed him to charge me $25 for the repair. I asked what happen to the quoted price of $5-$7 and that I was very unhappy with the deceptive business practice.\r
Will, seeing that I was unhappy, stated in Rick's defense that they both worked on it for a while. This was suspicious since Rick told me that he no longer grinds clubs. \r
Anyway, I was very unhappy with their business practice and will tell all my golfing friends of my ordeal. As far as the club repair, it was as we discussed...smooth but with a visible gash. TNT has lost me as a customer because of this incident. No one likes to be a victim of the old ""bait and switch"" gimmick...it's the principal not the price. Oddly enough, if they would of quoted me the price of $20 - $25, this would not be an issue. \r
Cons: Deceptive Business Practice
