Really, I should have run, not walked after my initial visit with Dr. Barandes. He does not take kindly to normal patient questioning. God forbid you dare to challenge his godlike opinion (in his own mind!). He is inappropriate (making comments about personal appearance) and rushed. He basically told me that I read too much (after I questioned him about T3 levels) and to ""just take your medicine."" Also he will not prescribe Synthroid, only the generic form levothroid. Wonder why this is...hmmmm. As my new doc said, how can someone not prescribe a drug across the board when everyones needs and physiology are different. Good question, but one I will never again waste my time asking this insincere and nasty doc. I'm sorry I wasted so many years seeing this person.
