If you're looking for a great school in the La Mirada area, this is it! We removed our kids from an Orange County public school with a decent testing record this year to send them to LMHCS. What a huge difference in the happiness of our children. It's three weeks into the school year and both of my son's teachers have called me to check in and update me as to their progress. Additionally, my kids told me last week they would miss school if we went to Disneyland instead. Have you ever heard of such a thing? \r
The teachers are engaged. The Principal comes out of her office to converse with people all the time. You'll find her on the playground during recess and at arrivals/dismissals. The summer program is excellent and a great value for the money. \r
Tuition is a little high, but most definitely worth every penny. Curriculum is aggressive and the children at this school are well-behaved. They are most definitely benefitting from the engaged staff and stricter rules and structure of this school. \r
We love it!
Pros: Engaged staff of energetic teachers, wonderful Principal, well-designed curriculum
Cons: High tuition costs, but honestly... that's it.
