My family and I have enjoyed many Indian restaurants in our hometown and during our travels, thus I would consider our tastes to be fairly discriminating. That said, Monsoon gets our vote for the BEST Indian food anywhere! They are located in a small strip center in Palm Springs, and the storefront is quite generic. Once inside the restaurant, you'll be delighted with the warm ambience of the decor and the very friendly staff that clearly aim to please each of their valued patrons. It was obvious to us that they get the idea of EXCEPTIONAL service. We had the Tandoor Chicken which comes out to your table sizzling with the savory aromas of the Indian spices and grilled onions, Rogan Josh perfectly spiced in a very tasty gravy (amazing!), vegetarian samosa, again another delicious treat, jasmine rice (yum!) and garlic naan (the best we ever had). The menu pricing is very reasonable and the portions are on the generous side. They also offer a Sunday Champagne brunch which I've heard great things about as well. My entire family and I could not believe the level of quality in both the food and service at Monsoon. When you're in the Palm Springs area, we highly recommend this place; you're in for an incredibly satisfying experience. We plan on visiting every time we're in the area. Pros: Food, ambience, service and value
