Review content:
You are brought in under the pretense of an objective assessment; when in reality they have already decided to admit you to treatment and collect the $40,000 dollars - upfront. They don't take any insurances.......
The interrogations include scare tactics, threats, and blatant derisive name calling in an attempt to get you to confess to something. Your words will be twisted. Everyone - even the innocent are called liars in order to break their spirit. I was told over half leave, not needing inpatient treatment. But once I arrived, the staff and patients tell a different story. Of the thousands (one quote was over 5000) treated (at $40,000 a pop), only a few have left. Less than five according to the receptionists of 25 years.
The medical director is a self assured man strongly megalomaniac in his mind who does not like to be challenged on any data you submit that may have been placed in the wrong order or not remembered out of fear. Who would be nervous and fearful and stumble over memory and recalling facts from 30 - 50 years ago?!?!?!?! He does not believe he can make a mistake and lacks compassion for the nervous state of mind a pilot, a doctor, or whomever is seated in his office may be experiencing. You are seated on a couch with your head lower than his by at least 12 inches so that you have to look up to meet his face - a psychological tactic to place him superior or to you and begin the process of destroying who you are.
You are strip searched. Your car is strip searched. Your medications - thyroid, blood pressure, diabetic, etc, are all taken from you and divvied out on a daily basis by a semi-conscious nurse. Almost everyone is placed on some form of ""detox"" medications and walk around as smiling zombies.
Finally there appeared to be a revolving door, where previous attendees felt an overwhelming need to readmit themselves and commented - Talbott is home. It's the only safe place for me. I never want to leave. I just want to live my life here.
My advice is: research where you are going and choose a place with good reviews. Talbott is overpriced, currently remodeling and needs money and is suspect for their high admission rates. You will find superior facilities at much less the price.
I could not publish this comment until I rated it. I wanted to leave the stars blank, but was required to click at least one. I would have given less if the opportunity were given.
