Review content:
I went there and paid $20 to have them confirm that my laptop's hard drive needed to be replaced. Gentleman called and said he replaced the hard drive (for an additional $40) but the retrieval of ALL of my 'lost data' would run upwards of $500 as it appeared someone had ""reformatted my hard drive"". He said he has a Masters Degree in computers and was certain ""FBI level technology was necessary to retrieve my lost data."" I picked up my laptop and immediately brought it to Fix It Computers in Metairie and they retrieved ALL OF MY DATA for a small fee and told me that the issue with the hard drive was a bad partition - I guess Mr Masters in Computers missed that part and did the easy work for the quick $60 as he said he tried to retrieve my data but it was far too complicated and would require me to pay an upfront nonrefundable fee of $500. AVOID this place AND the one in Kenner (same business) -- consider using Craigslist to find people more skilled who know what they are doing and not just hustling for the quick, easy money. FYI: I never gave the gentleman permission to change my hard drive he just assumed thats what I wanted and called me with a bill. I would have done that myself and saved $40 but once I realized the 'game' I just wanted out.
