Review content:
ATA Cycle is not your ?typical? bike shop. When you walk through the door, you can immediately see how seriously they take cycling. High-end cranks and stems are displayed in glass cases like they were pieces of jewelry. I bought a triathlon bike from ATA and dealt mainly with the owner, Husam. It was an all-around great experience. This was the first bike I have bought that I have been fitted for, and I am completely sold on how important this fitting is, especially for triathlon bikes. The first fitting involves getting measurements of your body, then translating those into the specific frame geometry that you need. Husam then showed me the frame that best fit my specific body measurements. This is a huge concept? taking my measurements and finding the bike that fits me, as opposed to finding a bike and then trying to fit me to the bike. It is an amazing feeling to be pedaling a bike, have Husam make two small adjustments in the seat height and seat tube angle, and immediately be putting out 60 more watts. Once the right frame is selected, the guys and gals at ATA then construct your frame themselves (an 8 hour process) by selecting the right wheels, brakes, and components for your specific goals. My purchase at ATA was a pleasurable process and I can?t wait until I can justify buying a new road bike from them as well.
Pros: Beautiful bikes. Great staff. Ride faster than you ever have.
Cons: High quality is high price, but worth it.
