I went to Wee See at about 12 weeks along because my OB had not performed an ultrasound yet and would not for several weeks. Wee See was much less expensive than my OB's office and they provided an amazing experience! They had a private room set up with a comfy recliner and also a comfortable seat next to it for my husband as well. There was a large television screen set up in front of us so we could see everything! Being able to see the baby for the first time and hear the heartbeat was such a relief and a wonderful experience for my husband and I! They also provided a DVD with our package of the entire ultrasound and you can see our little peanut moving around and kicking too! This is such a great keepsake and definitely something to share with your family as well. They also included several different pictures to keep as well. I agree, the religious music in the DVD should be optional but the whole thing was so great I really can't complain. The grandparents love the DVD and pictures! I thought it was definitely worth the money and I won't hesitate to go back again, as they offer so many options and special extras you really wouldn't get at the doctor's office. The doctor's ultrasounds are wonderful and necessary for checking on the health of the baby, but for a really memorable moment an extra ultrasound here was worth every penny spent.... we will definitely go back later on in the pregnancy for more 3D/4D pictures of our baby as he (or she!) develops.
