Review content:
I have just have one word for their early marketing practices: ""PREDATORY"". They sell prepaid electricity at extremely high prices to customers in low income neighborhoods. The people in these neighborhoods are already struggling to survive and barely making it day to day. They go down in their neighborhoods and charge them up the wazoo. If you need more information feel free to search on google. Also you can look it up on complaint boards after doing a search for Affordable Power Inc.(that's a website). \r
\r
So this unorganized and completely disfunctional organization actually started signing up commercial customers for electricity plans. They aren't able to manage them very well though. In 2006 they were fined $223,000 by the Public Utility Commission for disconnecting their customers without prior notice. \r
\r
I am tired of a bad power company like Affordable Power charging consumers so much money. They used predatory practices to acquire their initial customer load. They do not deserve to be supported by the good people of Texas. That is why I don't recommend them to ANYONE.
Cons: Unprofessional telephone reps, bad prices, bad ethics, unfriendly people
