Businiess name:  Stockyard's Restaurant

Review content:
Oftentimes, older restaurants just rest on their laurels and once-popular places become tired and overrated. I was pleasantly surprised that the Stockyards was able to provide a wonderful steak in an old, but far from tired setting. Service was top notch - always keeping us pampered with professionalism and attention. The pickled veggie plate and cornbread that welcomed us were out of this world. Crisp, fresh veggies... warm, perfectly crumbly bread and cinnamon butter. We had a properly cooked sirloin and NY strip steaks, with a note from the waiter ""please let me know if it's not cooked to your liking, so we can get it right."" Of course, it was done just right. While the steak could have been just slightly more succulent, I think it was my cut, not the overall quality. I devoured it and savored every moment. The sear was perfect and bursting with meaty goodness. The sweet potato mash was a bit watery and not all that exciting. Our side of onion rings was good, but nothing extraordinary. The salads were fresh, albeit not so healthy with the rich and garlicky creamy dressing. The dining room was beautiful, in an old-steakhouse kind of way. They really have done a good job of keeping the place feeling fresh with a strong focus on its history. I would definitely go back. Also, they had a strong wine list. Pros: Steak, service, deccor Cons: Sweet potato mash
