Review content:
Expensive. Food of mixed quality. Cucumber soup awful. Red Snapper interesting. Best Deal: Glass of Rioja and ""Acme Burger Deluxe"" will run you about $20 with tax and tips.
2000 Hirsch 'Kammern' Grüner Veltliner, $5.50/glass. I believe this is the WS82@$13, not the WS90@$26, but I could be wrong. Anyway, had the stench and tartness of YAC (yet another chardonnay). Not a bad wine, but it's supposed to be GV, not YAC.
1998 Herencia Remondo 'La Montesa,' Rioja, $5.95/glass. WS and RP have reviewed a ""Bodegas Palacios Remondo La Montesa Reserva,"" but at $75, so I'm not sure what this is at $5.95/glass. RP says importer is De Maison Selections of Chapel Hill, so that's probably the source. Very nice wine, nice nose that evolved over the five minutes or so it took me to quaff it. Best restaurant wine I've had in ages.
Pros: wine list, red snapper
Cons: wine prices, food prices, food in general
