Review content:
As with most others, I was going about my day and had a knock on the door. I opened it and it was the ""omega Meat"" man. I have never heard of this company, but was intrigued. I heard a usual sales speech, "" I have the best meat in town"" type. However, can you blame them? Would you give a sells pitch of, I have good meat at a good price? Now I am very picky about my meat. My family eats mostly grass fed and organic chicken. I was interested in the price as well as the overall ""look"" of the meat was good. I decided to purchase both the beef and chicken.
After my purchase I decided to look up the company on the web and was dismayed. I had an initail thought of, ""I have been had"". I decided to call the man back and ask for a refund. When I got the generic voicemail, I was worried. But within a few minutes Will Massey of Omega Meats called me back. I expressed my concern with the reviews and asked for a refund. He told me to just open each one of the products I purchased and try it. If I was not happy he would come back and refund me the money. I actually had fun cooking all that meat, but in the back of my mind I was still concerned that I was botching my refund by opening the product as some reviewers wrote.
In the end I found the meat to be of a ""normal"" quality. I was not wowed with it, nor would I personally purchase theis type of meat in the store. So, I called Mr. Massey back and gave him my report and asked for a refund. He came out to my house the next day and took the meat back. Mr. Massey told me that a check would be mailed to me shortly. I had to totlay rely on his word. Within a week -- no check. I called Mr. Massey back and expressed my concern. He told me that he would look into it and be at my house in a couple days. Two days later he showed up and gave me a full refund in cash. Mr. Massey told me that he was sorry for the inconvience and did not make me even pay for the meat I ate. Overall, good experience.
