Review content:
Last week a salesman for Omega Meat stopped at my house. I've always refused to even talk to them but on this particular day I decided to listen. Am I glad I did! He gave me a great deal on the steaks. I normally buy my steaks from the local butcher shop. I'm very picky, I wont even buy a steak at the grocery store. After purchasing them I called my husband to tell him about this great offer I got. He was very upset and told me they had a terrible reputation. I went online immediately and pulled up reviews. When I saw all the negative comments I was just sick. That night we had our first meal from my purchase. I had a ribeye and my husband had one of the NY Strips. They were delicious!!\r
Since then we have tried other steaks from the case I bought and the same story! Delicious! \r
The salesman that sold them to us, was a very nice man. Very polite. He was a little aggressive in wanting me to purchase the pork too but when he saw I had limited freezer space he respected that. \r
All in all, I had a very good experience with this company and with the salesman who sold me the meat. \r
Normally I don't post on threads but in this case for those who, like me, just purchased a months worth of meat and hear all the horror stories, I wanted them to know there are positive experiences out here too!\r
I do marinate my steaks before cooking, just my familys preference. I dont know if this made a difference or not, but the steaks we have eaten so far have been very tender and flavorful. The only negative I will say about them is they are a little thinner than we normally have our meat cut, but I'm finding that I'm very satisfied with the cut and dont feel so overstuffed as we do with our steaks we have cut thicker. \r
So long story shortened....dont be afraid to try these!\r
