Review content:
It was a great experience for me to have my foundation repaired by Superior Foundation Repair (SFR) of San Antonio. The engineer and the supervisor are very professional. They are very patient in answering any questions that you may have. The workers are very skilled and efficient. Digging the holes, driving the steel pipes down and lifting the whole house only took them two days. The job was done clean and neat without any damage to the landscape. They put the soil dug up in plastic bags. Not like other foundation repair companies using piled concrete cylinders or bell bottom poured concrete piers, SFR uses J55 steel piers with a lifetime transferable warranty. A realtor told me that a lifetime transferable warranty is what buyers would look for. Steel piers can penetrate the expansive/contractive soil and go much deeper to reach the bedrock for a permanent repair of the foundation. Unlike other types of foundation repair, watering the foundation becomes unnecessary with steel piers in the dry climate of Texas. The soil in my neighborhood is expansive/contractive causing foundation problems making steel piers for a permanent repair necessary. Some of my neighbors repaired their foundations three times already using other methods. For sure I don’t want the same thing to happen to me. I shopped around and found that the quote SFR gave was very reasonable although price/cost was not the only criterion in selecting a contractor. SFR provides a sewer static test from a licensed plumber to check if the lifting of the foundation damaged the sewer pipes. Not every foundation repair companies offer this service. Ask the contractor if such a service is included in the quote. They also touch up the cracks on the outside walls for you as a courtesy so as to avoid any more effort on your side in hiring other contractors. At the end, they will make sure that you are happy with the job they have done.\r
