My daughter in law ""to be"" took her beautiful wedding gown in for alterations. Amy stated several times that she has been in business for 25+ years and could be trusted. When the dressed was picked up, there were several things that were done wrong and terribly unprofessional. The gown was not pressed, Amy had sewn lines, ""seams?"" running down the front of the gown. The gown was not shortened to the correct length, the underskirting was sewn to the gown itself and to add insult to injury, the pins were still left in it. When my Daughter in law tried to discuss this with her, she was very unprofessional and said that my Daughter in law could not ever be satisfied. She was incredibly combative with her. As I live in Virginia, I heard this information directly from a very upset bride to be when she called me in tears. I called Amy to see what could be done. She told me that we could bring the gown back in but that she would not meet with my daughter in law again. I explained that the only way to alter the gown was to have the daughter in law there for a fitting. She would not do this and actually told me that she would have to speak with her lawyer before contacting me back with a resolution. This makes me believe that she knew that she had butchered this gown. I would sincerely hope that anyone who is taking clothing to be altered to Amy's, to think twice.
