This is our favorite restaurant! They have it all - pasta, pizza, steaks, seafood, unique salads, chicken, and more!!! It is family owned, and you are treated with respect. Successfully combines the best of all worlds - sports theme, family, slightly upscale (a little nicer than an applebee's, but not the kind of place where you have to dress up - jeans, shorts, tee shirts OK) with fantastic food and very friendly service! Every table gets fresh popcorn.\r \r They've been doing a lot of remodeling over the past few years, so if you haven't been in a while, give LD a try again. \r \r Tried and True picks: Monday - cream of chicken soup, Tuesday - Taco Soup, weekends - chicken noodle soup, Kettering Captain sandwich, beef torandos (spelling may be off), baked spaghetti, ""Southern Sunday"" turkey dinner, Tuesday- baked mac-n-cheese, hot roast beef sandwich, roast beef dinner, Traverse City Salad, THE BREADSTICKS, chicken marsalla, chicken strips, chicken potpie, burgers, and their ""Alibi"" Pizza (you had me at Alibi pizza!) \r \r I've also heard good things about (but haven't tried myself) prime rib, potato skins, walleye, and pecan chicken salad. There's only one thing I've had that I'm not fond of - their fish-n-chips. I prefer more of a beer batter, and theirs is more of bread-crumb type crust.\r \r Tied of chain restaurants? Go to Lion's Den for friendly service and fantastic food! Pros: Ambience (beautiful fireplace in non-smoking section), Food (variety, tasty) Cons: Make reservations on Fri/Sat nights, holidays for prompt seating
