Review content:
Forties themed restaurant serves great, tender (but pricey) steaks in a nice, dark woody room. The problem here is the supporting cast. Starters include a $36 dollar seafood platter featuring ""fresh frozen"" as the menu says stone crab claws, mussels, shrimp, etc. that tasted more frozen than fresh. The sides include nondescript green beans, good mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese that tasted like a box of elbow pasta with a bit of parmesan sprinkled on top. Desserts are lacking character and include an apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and a brownie with vanilla ice cream. The latter tasted like an overdone molten cake and was not rich enough while the former had apples that needed to be cooked longer. The service is youthful and attentive but after a few hundred bucks and a decent steak later you may have wished you'd fired up the grill yourself.
