Review content:
I live around the corner from Suks, so I would love to be able to take my clothes there, especially since I have to get a lot of alterations. That is why I have gone to them several times despite my better judgment. If you want pants hemmed, the only problem you'll find is that they will charge about twice as much as anywhere else. And if you need something more drastic -- like the waist taken in on a pair of pants, or (heaven forbid!) alterations to a bridesmaid gown -- prepare for the worst. She charged me $35 to have the waist taken in, and I can't wear the pants at all now because she did a horrible job. At least before I could use a belt. I also took a bridesmaid dress there that needed to be sized down -- but nothing fancy, it wasn't a unique cut or anything. She quoted me $78! I got home, called a few other places, including bridal boutiques, and was told that was WAY too much. Plus, she was going to take it in on the back zipper, and I was told by multiple seamstresses that would make the dress look awful, it should only be taken in on the sides. When I went to retrieve the dress (about 20 minutes later) she gave me a hard time and literally didn't want to give me the dress back.
DO NOT go to Suks. Even for simple hems, she charges way too much, and she does not do more complicated alterations well.
Cons: way too expensive, takes too long, & poor alterations
