I strongly advise not using this company. I hired them to sweep my chimney, and inspect the fireplace. The owner of the company and a workman arrived. I mistakenly left them alone to do the work, assuming they would do a full chimney sweep and inspection. At the conclusion,the owner pointed out cracks in my firebox, and a repair bid was written. The bid seemed high, and I found another company to do another evaluation. That bid was less than half of that of Chim Chimney, and the repairs were made immediately.
With the repair completed, the workman grew suspicious.. He suggested he ladder my roof and inspect the rain cap and spark arrestor. A large amount of soot and debris was removed.
I am a firefighter, and the soot removed appeared to be a real potential for a chimney fire. I was angry that the entire chimney had not been inspected, and called the owner. My complaint fell on deaf ears.
