BEWARE!!!! \r
Avoid using J?s Marine Engine Service or you could also have a horrific, expensive experience!\r
We had our generator serviced and repaired by J?s Marine Engine Service in Miami. This is when our real problems started. They placed a wrong screw and it caused the brushes to break and the generator to stop working. This took countless hours off our vacation, unnecessary money spent and many hot hours not to mention spoiling food in the refrigerator. \r
This year, we asked J?s Marine to routinely service and tune up the generator and to fix the problem that they had created. (except for that, the generator worked fine) We s mistakenly thought that his first mistake was just that, we gave him another chance. That was our biggest mistake ever.\r
Our generator was held hostage!!! After removing the generator for basic service, mysteriously things started breaking, more money was required. It was installed back in our RV and it did not work!!! He told us it was just a wire that had been wired wrong, then that it was another major part that needed repair and would require more money. Knowing that we were counting on the RV for our summer vacation, he held our generator hostage even longer. In the meantime this ?expert? had to bring in someone else that actually knew about generators. Now some other major part was mysteriously in need of repair, we could not have our generator back unless I gave him another check . \r
We finally got our generator back I hope it works, this so called ?expert? also ruined our brand new batteries, hundreds of dollars worth by disconnecting the bus and not telling any of the adults, breaking our power line and destroying the inside of our bus while trying to figure out why the RV was not getting power when plugged in. (breaking our power cord accounted for that). Now it will take countless hours to repair the mess inside the bus and we used our vacation money on this so called ?expert?
Cons: difficult to deal with, did not have knowledge on generators, horrible experience
