I took my son to urgent care today for an injury to his hand. I handed the receptionist my insurance card she proceeds to ask me what's this? I informed her it is a Retired Military Insurance Card. She proceeds to tell me that since the card isn't in my son's name he can't be seen. I informed her if she'd just call my insurance company they would tell her who is covered under my policy. She then takes it upon herself to ask the Dr. what to do, when she comes back she informs me that since she doesn't do the billing she is unable to call to verify that the services would be covered.\r

This entire time she's looking at my card as if I gave her a Soup label for payment.\r
